Vietnamese artwork premieres at Sotheby’s Singapore

(VOV) -Sotheby's first selling exhibition in Singapore featuring Southeast Asian artists entitled ‘Southeast Asian Abstraction: A new dialogue’ was tremendously successful, reports the auction house.

It highlighted Southeast Asian abstract art from the 1960s to the 21st century and was timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of Sotheby’s Singapore.

A total of 58 works by over 20 artists premiered at the event including an abstract piece by artist Pham An Hai entitled ‘Village Riverside’ who says his art has always been inspired by the cityscapes of his native Hanoi.

The exhibition now moves on to Sotheby's Hong Kong Gallery (November 12-21).
