Vietnamese artwork displayed at BIENALSUR 2023 exhibition in Argentina
VOV.VN - An artwork featuring Vietnamese riders wrapped up in sun protective clothes is being showcased at BIENALSUR 2023 international contemporary art exhibition held in La Plata city of Argentina.
The artwork created by German-Vietnamese designer Tra My Nguyen draws inspiration from the culture of riding motorbikes among Vietnamese women.
This marks the first time that she has brought her artwork to the exhibition and drawn plenty of attention from visitors.
Tra My Nguyen was born in Hanoi in 1992 and moved to Germany with her family from a young age. After returning to the country several times, she was impressed by the sun protective clothes donned by Vietnamese women riding motorbikes.
BIENALSUR was first launched back in 2015 and the international biennial exhibition of contemporary art is an extensive platform for art and culture under permanent construction.
The 2023 edition will get underway from July 8 to December 22, with art works set to be exhibited in over 70 cities in 27 countries and territories over five continents.
