Vietnam wins gold at Australia Rowing Champs
(VOV) - Vietnamese rowers triumphed at the New South Wales State Rowing Championships in Australia on February 26.
Pham Thi Thao, Tran Thi Sam, Le Thi An and Tran Thi An outplayed their foreign rivals to bag home a gold medal in the women’s Quadruple Scull.
Other Vietnamese rowers failed to clinch any medals in the Single Scull and Double Scull events for both men and women.
After the tourney, they will take part in World Cup Regatta to be held in Sydney, Australia, from March 18-24.
This is a good start for Vietnam’s rowing team after its two-month training course in the country.
