Duo Love performed by Thanh Tuan and Thu Huong claimed the Silver Elephant, Hat Swing by Lo Thuy, Pham Huong, Hong Thuy and Luu Huong secured the Bronze Elephant, while Sword Balance on Swing by Thu Huong, Thanh Binh received the Special Prize.

Held from February 27 to March 3, this year’s event brought together participants from 18 countries, featuring 75 artists and performers with 24 selected acts. The award system included three Golden Elephants, three Silver Elephants, three Bronze Elephants and several Special Prizes.

The results not only affirmed the courage and creativity of Vietnamese artists, but also highlighted the Vietnam Circus Federation’s sustained efforts to integrate and approach world-class standards.

People's Artist Tong Toan Thang, director of the Vietnam Circus Federation, shared that winning at the Elefant d’Or this year represented more than a competitive achievement, as it opened up opportunities for cooperation, exchanges and long-term touring contracts for Vietnamese performers in Europe.

He described the festival as a “trading floor” of the international circus industry, where dozens of producers and directors of major circus companies from Europe and the United States, along with leading entertainment brands, directly observe, cast and scout for new talents.

According to Thang, each participating act was meticulously invested and presented at a high professional level, serving not only as a competition entry but also as a professional showcase.

He expressed confidence that in the near future, more directors of major European circus troupes will visit Vietnam to seek partnerships and new talent, as Vietnamese circus continues to assert its distinctive cultural identity while steadily meeting international standards.

Immediately after the festival, the Vietnam Circus Federation received numerous cooperation proposals from international troupes.

Notably, Duo Love, which previously won Gold at the Almaty International Circus Festival 2025 in Kazakhstan and Silver at the Without Borders International Circus Festival 2025 in Russia, was offered a one-year performance contract with Circus Roncalli of Germany, one of Europe’s most renowned circus companies. Meanwhile, Hat Swing and Sword Balance on Swing were also invited to participate in an international circus festival in Kazakhstan in September 2026.

Vietnamese circus performers have left an impression on audiences worldwide, bringing hope of a bright future for the genre.
