Vietnam wins 6 golds in SEA Vovinam Championships
(VOV) - Vietnamese martial artists have bagged six gold medals in both demonstration and combat events at the ongoing second Southeast Asian Vovinam Championships in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Two gold medals went to Nguyen Van Cuong/Mai Thi Kim Thuy and Nguyen Hoang Tan in the doubles and singles demonstration events, and another four to Le Thanh Tuan (in men’s category of 50kg), Tran Thi Phuong Dung (in women’s 60kg), Nguyen Duy Khanh (in men’s 60kg) and Nguyen Thi Kim Hoang (in women’s 55kg) in the combat events.
Vietnam now tops the list with a total of 6 gold and 5 silver medals.
Indonesia is placed second with 3 gold and 2 bronze medals, and Cambodia third with 2 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medals.
