Vietnam victorious over Hong Kong at U19 Asian football tourney
(VOV) - The Vietnamese squad defeated its Hong Kong (China) rivals 5-1 at the second match in group F of the U19 Asian football tournament’s qualifying round in Malaysia on October 5.
Three goals were scored in the first set thanks to Cong Phuong, Van Toan and Thanh Tung in the 10th, 34th and 44th.
The Vietnamese U19 team held their position in the second set. In the 61st, Van Son raised the scored to 4-0.
Seven minutes later, the score rose to 5-0 thanks to a successful goal of Cong Phuong, it was also the fifth goal of Phuong at this Asian tourney.
However, two minutes later, U19 Hong Kong secured their first point to narrow the score to 5-1 after great efforts from Tsang Tsx Hin.
The U19 Vietnam team now has six points and it will face Australia in the next match.
