Vietnam-Venezuela brotherhood highlighted

The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) and the Embassy of Venezuela in Vietnam on July 4 co-hosted a photography exhibition in Hanoi to highlight the brotherhood between Vietnam and Venezuela.

The exhibition, themed “Vietnam-Venezuela: Forever Brothers” is to celebrate the 202nd National Day of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela (July 5, 1811-2013).

On display are nearly 100 photographs comprehensively depicting the traditional friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Venezuela in politics, economics and culture.

In his opening speech, VNA General Director Nguyen Duc Loi noted that despite their geographical distance, the two countries share a close friendship and are making efforts to further enhance their friendly cooperation, aiming to improve the lives of local people.

Venezuelan Ambassador to Vietnam Jorge Rondon Uzcategui said both countries have rapidly developed their relations in various fields since they set up diplomatic ties in 1989.

The event, which showcases images of meetings among leaders of both countries, aims to create a new momentum for Vietnam and Venezuela to make their ties more practical and effective and become stronger for the prosperity of both peoples, he said.

The exhibition will run until July 11.
