Vietnam trounces Thailand in ASEAN tourney
(VOV) - Vietnam’s professional basketball team Saigon Heat beat the host team, Thailand Slammers, 77-75 in the 2013 ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) Championship on January 16.
In the first two sets, Saigon Heat won 38-32 thanks to the great efforts of Lowhorn and Palmer players.
The Thai basketball team then quickly reversed the situation, winning a score of 44-40 in the third set, but it lost 77-75 to Saigon Heat in the fourth set.
Saigon Heat owed its win to Dior Lowhorn (21 points), David Palmer (20 points), Phillip Morrison (19 points), and Jai Reyes (13 points).
The Vietnamese basketball team will meet the Indonesian champions Warriors at HCM City’s Tan Binh district on January 19.
