Vietnam trounce Kyrgyzstan 12-0 in Asian Cup qualifier
(VOV) - Vietnamese women outplayed their Kyrgyzstan rivals with an impressive score of 12-0 in the second Group C match of the Asian Cup qualifying round on May 24.
Minh Nguyet, Ngoc Anh, Nguyen Thi Muon, Nguyen Thi Xuyen and Nguyen Thi Hoa scored a total of seven goals for Vietnam in the first half, and five others in the second half.
This win earned Vietnam another three points and they are now staying atop Group C with six points altogether after two matches. Vietnam will face Hong Kong (China) in their next clash on May 26.
Thailand led Group B after beating the Philippines 1-0, obtaining six points, while Myanmar also topped Group D with six points after overwhelming Palestine 9-0.
