‘Vietnam today’ exhibition to open in Hanoi

An exhibition themed ‘Vietnam Today’ displaying 96 outstanding photos of Vietnam’s landscapes and people will be open to the public at the Centre for Fine Arts and Photography (29 Hang Bai Street, Hanoi) from July 5-9.

The photos were selected from 5,464 entries in the 7th National Tourism Art Photo Contest.

The contest, launched by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and Vietnam Tourism Magazine from December 17, 2015 to May 31, 2016, aims to highlight the diversity of daily-life activities around the country of Vietnam as well as to praise the country's tourism resources and natural landscapes.

Since the launch of the contest, the Organizing Board has received 6,466 photos (including 5,128 color photos, 246 black and white photos) by 454 authors from 55 provinces across the country.

After seven qualifying rounds, the contest’s jury selected 11 the best works, including one first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes and five consolation prizes.

The organising board will hold an opening and awards ceremony of the ‘Vietnam Today’ exhibition at 9.30am on July 5.
