Vietnam to host Miss Cosmo 2025 for second consecutive year
VOV.VN - Following the success of its inaugural edition, organisers of Miss Cosmo have officially announced that Vietnam will once again host the international beauty pageant in 2025.

The pageant will serve not only as a testament to Vietnam’s capacity to host international cultural and artistic events, but also as an opportunity to showcase the country’s friendliness and rich identity to the world, the organisers said at a press briefing in Ho Chi Minh City on August 22.
With the theme “Rising Dragon”, inspired by the symbol of the dragon, Miss Cosmo 2025 aims to highlight the strength, confidence, and influence of women in the modern era.
“Vietnam is known as the land of the blue dragon, and we are proud to be descendants of the Dragon and Fairy. I believe Miss Cosmo 2025 will showcase both beauty and empowerment,” said Tran Viet Bao Hoang, head of the organising committee.
The pageant will take place from November to December 2025, featuring a series of cultural, fashion, and tourism activities across multiple provinces and cities. The competition will gather contestants from over 80 countries and territories, with Vietnam represented by Nguyen Hoang Phuong Linh, Miss Cosmo Vietnam 2025.
The grand finale is scheduled for December 20, 2025, at the Creativity Park in Ho Chi Minh City. This year introduces a new format, the “Cosmo Beauty & Music Festival”, combining the beauty competition with an outdoor music festival, expected to draw 20,000 live spectators. The event will be broadcast worldwide via AXN.
The winner will receive the “Impactful Crown”, to be worn during her one-year reign, along with US$100,000 in cash, an apartment, a car, accommodations at luxury resorts and golf facilities, and numerous other premium benefits. The reigning queen will be based in Vietnam during her term, joining Miss Cosmo in various activities before passing the crown on to her successor. Runners-up will also take part in official events throughout the year.
Founded by UniMedia, Miss Cosmo was first held in Vietnam in 2024 with the participation of contestants from 60 countries and territories. The debut edition attracted strong international media attention and concluded with the victory of Ketut Permata Juliastrid from Indonesia, who has since traveled to countries such as Greece, China, India, Cambodia, and Laos to promote cultural exchange projects.
