Vietnam to host European Music Festival 2012

(VOV) -The 2012 European Music Festival will be held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City from November 22 to December 2.
The festival will be headlined by performances of internationally well-known pianists from Germany, Hungary, Poland, and Belgium. Swedish mezzo-soprano Emma Transtromer, daughter of Nobel Prize winner Tomas Transtromer is a particularly high profile participant
Both pop and jazz styles will be introduced.
Last year, the event attracted the contributions of more than 20 musicians from around the world, including famous Vietnamese saxophonist Tran Manh Tuan.
The opening ceremonies will take place in Hanoi on November 22 and in Ho Chi Minh City on November 23.
The event will be organised by the European Union in Vietnam and EU member embassies.
