VOV.VN - The Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) has released a special set of postage stamps to welcome the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31) due to take place in Vietnam this May.
The set includes four stamps and a stamp block, with the face value ranging from VND4,000 to VND15,000. The stamps designed by artists Tran The Vinh and Nguyen Du of Vietnam Post will be available on the postal network from May 12, 2022 to December 31, 2023.
The stamps feature the logo and mascot of the SEA Games 31, along with five strong sports of Vietnam namely athletics, shooting, swimming, gymnastics and football.
Stamp background stylized with the ASEAN logo represents the cohesion of 11 countries in line with the SEA Games 31 slogan ‘For a stronger Southeast Asia’.
The MIC also issued a similar set of postage stamps in 2003 when Vietnam hosted the SEA Games for the first time. The then stamps illustrated major sports such as football, athletics, swimming and wrestling.
