Vietnam ready to host first edition of Miss Multicultural World
VOV.VN - The final night of the inaugural Miss Multicultural World beauty pageant is scheduled to take place in Vietnam on June 28, attracting beauties from around 50 countries and territories worldwide.
Addressing a press conference held in Hanoi on January 31, Miss Phan Kim Oanh, President and founder of both Miss Multicultural Vietnam and Miss Multicultural World noted that the international beauty pageant aims to honour the diversity of cultures where contestants are judged not only on their beauty but also on their knowledge, communication skills, talent, and the understanding of the cultural identity of their country.
Contestants will take part in a series of activities including competitions and cultural exchanges before entering the final night, added Oanh.
Vietnam will also host the Miss Multicultural Vietnam 2026 pageant with the final night slated for April 5. This competition is designated as the official selection round to seek Vietnamese representative to Miss Multicultural World 2026.
According to the organisers, the winner of Miss Multicultural Vietnam will compete in Miss Multicultural World, and the first runner-up will partake in Miss Eco International 2026 in Egypt in May. Both pageants will be held at the Ho Guom Opera House in Hanoi.
To date, more than 30 countries and territories have officially purchased the rights to host Miss Multicultural World at the national level. Hosting Miss Multicultural World 2026 is seen as an opportunity for Vietnam to showcase the country’s images of landscape and people, and cultural identity to the international community through a multicultural exchange event.
