Vietnam-Poland concert marks 76 years of diplomatic ties

VOV.VN - A Vietnam-Poland friendship concert titled “The Flow of Music” will take place at 8 pm on May 31 at Ho Guom Opera House in Hanoi, featuring two pianists from the two countries: Rafał A. Łuszczewski of Poland and Nguyen Viet Trung of Vietnam.

The event is jointly organised by the Vietnam Classical Music Association and the Polish Embassy in Vietnam to mark the 76th anniversary of Vietnam-Poland diplomatic relations (1950-2026).

It is a cultural diplomacy activity that contributes to honouring the longstanding friendship between the two countries and affirms the role of music as a means of connection.

Rafał A. Łuszczewski is a Steinway Artist with more than 25 years of international performance experience. He has performed at major concert halls and is regarded for his interpretations of works by Frédéric Chopin.

Representing Vietnam, pianist Nguyen Viet Trung is a young pianist and a notable emerging artist who won first prize at the National Piano Festival in Poland in 2021, competed at the International Chopin Piano Competition, and has performed at venues across Europe, Asia and the United States.

The programme is structured in two parts. The first, performed by Nguyen Viet Trung, features works by Franz Schubert, Sergei Prokofiev and Frédéric Chopin. The second, performed by Rafał A. Łuszczewski, includes works by Johannes Brahms and Chopin, concluding with “Warsaw Concerto” by Richard Addinsell.

It is designed as a continuous artistic journey, bringing together classical works through two generations of artists, thus contributing to cultural exchange and strengthening cooperation between Vietnam and Poland.
