Vietnam photographer wins Sony Awards
A photo of Mu Cang Chai terraced rice fields by a Vietnamese photographer has secured third prize in the Sony World Photography Awards 2017 which was competed by 220,000 photographers from across the world.
The photo of an ethnic woman watching a sunrise at the stunning Mu Cang Chai Rice Terrace in northern Vietnam by photographer Tran Minh Dung won third prize in the National Awards category.
Mu Cang Chai is a district of Yen Bai province. It has been a popular place to visit in northern Vietnam, particularly when the rice harvest starts around the beginning of October.
