A festival dedicated to the Republic of Korea (RoK) cuisine will be held at Keangnam Landmark Hanoi from September 12 to 13.
The event, organised by the RoK's Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the South Korean Embassy in Vietnam, aims to promote the hallyu or the "Korean Wave" — a neologism referring to the increase in popularity of the RoK culture since the late 1990s.
Visitors will have chance to sample several traditional Korean dishes, and enjoy traditional dance and drum performances.
The festival's slogan is Beyond K-Food, On Your Table. It will also feature K-pop, dance and cooking contests.
Vietnam Master Chef winner Hoang Minh Nhat and RoK chef Shin Hyo-sub will team up to showcase their cooking skills during the event. —
