Vietnam issues stamp collection featuring indigenous dogs

VOV.VN - The Ministry of Information and Communications and the Vietnam Post Corporation (VNPost) released a postage stamp collection on October 11 featuring native Vietnamese dogs in a hope of preserving the breeds for the purpose of economic development.

The collection comprises of four postage stamp models and a stamp block designed by artist Nguyen Du from VNPost.

The stamps, 37 x 37 mm in size, depict the characteristics of four types of dogs whilst in their natural living environments.

The animals illustrated are Bac Ha, Song Ma, H’Mong, and Phu Quoc dogs. Each stamp features famous sightseeing spots in the background, including Bac Ha market in Lao Cai province, Ma river in Thanh Hoa province, Doi mountain in Ha Giang province, and Phu Quoc beach in Kien Giang province.

The stamps, costing VND4,000 and VND15,000, will be available on the postal network until June 30, 2026.
