Vietnam hosts final round of Miss Tourism World 2022
VOV.VN - Vietnam will play host to the final round of Miss Tourism World 2022 in the northern province of Vinh Phuc from November 28 to December 3, organisers said at a press conference on November 8.
The final round of the contest themed “Bringing the world to Vietnam” is expected to attract 71 beauties from different countries worldwide, with activities spanning many Vietnamese tourist attractions in Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Son La, and Vinh Phuc.
The beauty contest will not include a swimsuit segment, and the final night is scheduled to take place in Vinh Phuc on the evening of December 3, said the organizing board.
Miss Tourism World 2022 is the first beauty contest in the world to be organised through contestants' trips, aiming to connect various countries and contribute to promoting the image of Vietnam and its people to the wider world.
The event is therefore anticipated to bring plenty of practical effects to the Vietnamese tourism industry and enhance the sector’s overall competitiveness.
Accordingly, contestants will make use of their smart phones to produce video clips introducing what they experience whilst staying in Vietnam.
While staying in Hanoi the contestants will visit Bat Trang pottery village, Hoan Kiem Lake (a historical landmark in Vietnam), Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam (first university in Vietnam), and Thang Long Imperial Citadel.
From November 17, the group will tour Trang An tourist complex, Hoa Lu ancient capital, and Cuc Phuong National Park in Ninh Binh, along with the Hung Kings’ Temple complex in Phu Tho, Moc Chau in Son La, and Tay Thien Scenic Relic Site, Truc Lam Zen Monastery, and Tam Dao tourist site in Vinh Phuc.
In Son La contestants will also participate in a Xoe Thai dance performance with the participation of 1,000 local people in an effort to promote the uniqueness of the world heritage to audiences around the world.
