Vietnam enters SEA women football champs’ semi-finals

(VOV) -Local female football players have made it to the semi-finals of the ongoing Southeast Asian Football Championships in HCM City after holding Australian rivals to a goaless draw on September 17.
Under the lead of coach Tran Van Phat, they resorted to their defence and attack tactics.
Strikers Minh Nguyet, Nguyen Thi Muon and Tuyet Dung together with their defenders and goal-keeper Kieu Trinh won great applause from supporters.
Vietnam got 8 points in total, leaving Thailand behind in Group A with 7 points. Final matches in Group B were scheduled to take place on September 18.
Vietnam’s rivals in the semi-finals will be announced after the coming match between Japan and Myanmar.
