Vietnam defeats Thailand at int’l volleyball tourney
(VOV) - VietinBank outplayed Thailand 3-0 in their May 20 match at the ongoing 2013 LienVietPostBank Cup, hosted by the northern province of Bac Ninh.
Winning the first set with the score of 25-15, VietinBank extended their lead with a 25-19 score line in the second.
They claimed victory by taking the third set 25-17.
In the day’s other match, Vietsovpetro lost to Sichuan (China) 1-3.
Vietsovpetro managed to win the first set 34-32 but the Chinese team returned with a vengeance in the second and third, dominating both 25-16 and 25-9.
Sichuan’s momentum carried them to a 25-19 win in the fourth set, deciding the match.
On May 21, VTV Binh Dien-Long An face Sri Lanka while Shandong (China) meet LienVietPostBank.
