Vietnam Dance Week 2023 attracts foreign artists

VOV.VN - The preliminary round of Vietnam Dance Week 2023 kicked off on July 15, attracting tens of thousands of domestic and foreign professional and amateur artists.

The event themed “Meet & Shine - Brightening the future” is designed to introduce creations and new talents of the year, and to help the public gain an insight into Vietnamese dance.

It also offers a chance for both local and international dancers to meet and exchange experiences through competition.

Dancers will perform in different age categories, one for children aged six to nine, one for teenagers from 10 to 18 years old, one for adults over 18 years old, and one for elders over 50 years old.

The event consists of four main parts, including a folk dance competition of Vietnamese ethnic groups for individuals and professional organisations nationwide, competitions in all dance genres, group performance with the participation of 15 countries, and the "Dance of Solidarity”.

The final round is scheduled to take place in Ho Chi Minh City from October 23 to October 24 and in Hanoi from October 26 to October 27.
