Vietnam Cultural Days open in Thailand

VOV.VN - Vietnam Cultural Days kicked off on August 10 in Bangkok, Thailand in the presence of deputy prime ministers Thanasak Patimaprakon and Vu Duc Dam and other officials.

The event is the follow-up activity of the Thailand Cultural Days held in Hanoi late July to mark the 40th anniversary of Vietnam-Thailand diplomatic ties.

In his speech, Vietnam Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Huynh Vinh Ai hailed the two nations’ flourishing relations in a broad array of fields over the four decades.

Bilateral relations were upgraded to a strategic partnership in 2013, providing a new framework for stronger cooperation, especially in culture and arts.

At the opening ceremony, Thai people and international friends were entertained with artistic performances presented by Vietnam artists.

Additionally, the Vietnam Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Thailand Ministry of Culture heldl artistic performances in Nakhon Phanom province where is home to a large number of Vietnamese people.

Also on August 10, Deputy PMs Vu Duc Dam and Thanasak attended an opening ceremony of a ‘colour Vietnam’ exhibition and visited ASEAN Culture Centre and Thai National Museum.
