Vietnamese policemen in uniform and girls in Ao dai (traditional long dress) made an impressive performance at the 21st World Police Band Concert that kicked off in Tokyo, Japan, on October 10.
Taking place on the background of the song titled “Bac van cung chung chau hanh quan” (Uncle Ho seems to march with us) by musician Huy Thuc, the Vietnamese police band’s performance received loud cheers.
Singo Aoi, a Tokyo citizen, said he was impressed by the Vietnamese performance, especially the dance staged by Vietnamese girls in their traditional long dress.
Initiated by the Mainichi newspaper, the World Police Band Concert has been organised annually since 1996 in numerous countries. This year’s two-day event brings together 11 police bands from Vietnam, the US, France and Japan.
