Vietnam attends Flavors of Asia Festival in Geneva

VOV.VN - The Vietnamese Delegation in Geneva introduced Vietnam’s distinctive cultural identities at the 2021 Flavors of Asia Festival held in Geneva on October 20.

The festival, the first of its kind was organized by the Asian Ambassador’s Wives Association (AAWAG) in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), to popularize Asia’s cultural diversity and richness among local people.

The cultural diversity and richness of the Asian region was vividly displayed at the festival through shows of national costumes, music and art performances and culinary arts of Asian countries.

Organisers also arranged booths displaying unique textile products of Asian countries.

The Vietnamese delegation in Geneva performed national costumes, introduced Vietnamese unique silk products, and donated gifts for the lucky draw. Its booth showcased garments such as Ao Dai (traditional long dress), silk scarves, and fine art articles, like embroidery pictures of Vietnamese villages, lacquer paintings and other items.

Nearly 1,000 people visited and purchased souvenirs at the festival. All the proceeds will be donated to the Afghanistan World Foundation to support women and children in the war-torn country.
