Vietnam among Top 10 in international beauty ranking
VOV.VN - Vietnam has been listed among the Top 10 countries in the grand slam ranking for beauty this year, as announced by international beauty site Globalbeauties.
The ranking is based on the various achievements recorded by national representatives at major international beauty contests, including Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss International, Miss Grand International, and Miss Supranational.
Notable names from the country include Le Hoang Phuong, the fourth runner-up of Miss Grand International 2023, Dang Thanh Ngan, the fourth runner-up of Miss Supranational 2023, and Nguyen Phuong Nhi, a Top 15 finisher at Miss International 2023.
Although Bui Quynh Hoa finished empty handed at Miss Universe 2023, the nation was added one point for sending representative to the global beauty pageant.
Huynh Nguyen Mai Phuong and Do Thi Lan Anh, who will represent the country at the upcoming Miss World and Miss Earth contests, are expected to help the nation to improve its rankings in the global list.
With recent achievements recorded this year, the country has earned a total of 1976 points to rank ninth in the Globalbeauties’ list of countries for this year.
Peru topped the list with a total of 4875 points, followed by Venezuela with 3676 points, and Colombia with 3375 points.
In another global beauty ranking announced by prestigious website Vie Pageant, the country was placed seventh with 291 points.
Peru took the lead with 560 points. Others to feature in the Top 10 were Colombia, Thailand, the Philippines, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Vietnam, the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Ecuador.
