Vienna Chamber Orchestra back to Hanoi for November concert
VOV.VN - Following their remarkable debut at Ho Guom Opera House in November 2024, the Vienna Chamber Orchestra is set to return to Hanoi with the Vienna Concert on November 27, 28, and 29, continuing their mission of bringing audiences closer to the classical, refined, and emotive spirit of Vienna.
Ho Guom Opera House announced on November 18 that the all-female ensemble La Philharmonica will open the concert series on the evening of November 27.
The performance will feature newly commissioned works by Tristan Schulze and Georg Breinschmid, alongside masterpieces spanning opera, film music, and the vibrant rhythms of Viennese dance, including compositions by Pauline Viardot, John Williams, Johann Strauss II, and Constanze Geiger.
The second night, themed Chamber Night by the Vienna Chamber Orchestra on November 28, will showcase the Vienna Chamber Orchestra performing classical works that capture the pure essence of Vienna.
Audiences will enjoy waltzes and polkas that have become hallmarks of Viennese dance music, including Fledermaus Ouvertüre, Mit Extrapost, Wiener Blut, Pizzicato Polka, Geschichten aus dem Wienerwald, and Unter Donner und Blitz Polka by Johann Strauss II, Eduard Strauss, and Josef Strauss.
The series concludes with Spirit of Vienna, a tribute to the immortal masterpieces of Mozart, Haydn, and Beethoven, featuring Violin Concerto No. 4, Clarinet Concerto, Sinfonia Concertante, and Symphony No. 7 “Apotheosis of Dance”.
