Ho Guom Opera House announced on November 18 that the all-female ensemble La Philharmonica will open the concert series on the evening of November 27.

The performance will feature newly commissioned works by Tristan Schulze and Georg Breinschmid, alongside masterpieces spanning opera, film music, and the vibrant rhythms of Viennese dance, including compositions by Pauline Viardot, John Williams, Johann Strauss II, and Constanze Geiger.

The second night, themed Chamber Night by the Vienna Chamber Orchestra on November 28, will showcase the Vienna Chamber Orchestra performing classical works that capture the pure essence of Vienna.

Audiences will enjoy waltzes and polkas that have become hallmarks of Viennese dance music, including Fledermaus Ouvertüre, Mit Extrapost, Wiener Blut, Pizzicato Polka, Geschichten aus dem Wienerwald, and Unter Donner und Blitz Polka by Johann Strauss II, Eduard Strauss, and Josef Strauss.

The series concludes with Spirit of Vienna, a tribute to the immortal masterpieces of Mozart, Haydn, and Beethoven, featuring Violin Concerto No. 4, Clarinet Concerto, Sinfonia Concertante, and Symphony No. 7 “Apotheosis of Dance”.

Founded in 1946, the Vienna Chamber Orchestra is one of the world's most prestigious and longstanding chamber orchestras, carrying the signature sound of European classical tradition.

For nearly eight decades, the orchestra has maintained exceptional artistic excellence, becoming a cultural ambassador that brings the music of Vienna to audiences around the globe.
