Vibrant activities as part of Ninh Thuan grape and wine festival 2023
VOV.VN - The southcentral province of Ninh Thuan will hold a grape and wine festival from June 13 to June 18, with the event featuring a wide range of activities highlighting local products and culture.
According to the organisers at a press conference held in Ninh Thuan province on April 14, there are up to 12 culture, sports, and tourism events which will get underway during the course of six-day festival.
A seminar on developing the value of grape trees and grape products, as well as a workshop on preserving and upholding the values of the pottery making art of the ethnic Cham people will take place during the course of the event.
Furthermore, a cycling race, an off-road car and motorcycle race on sand dunes are expected to offer visitors both an exciting and relaxing environment.
As part of the occasion, the locality will also hold a ceremony receiving UNESCO’s certificate recognising the pottery making art of the ethnic Cham people as an Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding.
Ninh Thuan province is now considered to be the country's largest grape cultivation area with over 1,060 hectares with an output of 265,000 tonnes per year.
