In an opening speech, Ambassador Jorge Rondon Uzcategui said the art and culture of Venezuela is a melting pot of different indigenous ethnic tribes and social groups dating back a thousand years.
Each region of the country has its unique cuisine, music and traditions that are well reflected through its voluminous festivals. Art and culture of Venezuela is a mixed potpourri of various ethnicity and forms.
"Through this event, we would like to introduce a small part of the country of Venezuela, the landscape, the beauty of crafts, the friendship of the Venezuelan people to Vietnam,” said the Ambassador.
“These are the real assets of the country's cultural heritage and people."
Vietnam and Venezuela first established diplomatic ties on December 18, 1989, said the Ambassador, and since that time the two nations’ governments have developed comprehensive cooperation relations in a multiplicity of fields.
