UK actress dresses in Vietnamese design on Emily in Paris poster
VOV.VN - British-American actress Lily Collins was seen donning an outfit created by designer Do Manh Cuong while posing for a poster to promote the upcoming season of Netflix series Emily in Paris.
Collins wears a design belonging to the Spring-Summer 2024 collection of Cuong’s brand SIXDO.
The local designer revealed that after he introduced his latest collection at New York Fashion Week in September, 2023, stylist Marylin Fitoussi of the series Emily in Paris contacted him and asked him to create costumes for Collins’ character Emily for the new series.
Do Manh Cuong, 43, hailing from Hanoi is currently working in Ho Chi Minh City. He graduated from the Chambre Syndicale De La Couture Parisienne in Paris, France.
He is among the nation’s leading fashion designers and has regularly organised fashion shows over recent years, with SIXDO being a fashion brand founded by Cuong back in 2020.
Collins, 35, began her career at the age of two. In the late 2000s, she started acting and modeling more regularly and has since achieved recognition for her acting talent.
Emily in Paris is an American romantic comedy-drama television series created for Netflix. It revolves around an American marketing executive who relocates to Paris to work for a French marketing firm. Once in Paris, she tries to overcome challenges she faces in her work, love life, and friendships.
The series first premiered in 2020. Its second and third seasons premiered in 2021 and 2022 respectively, and its fourth season is set to be released in August.
