Trang disqualified from Singapore Badminton Open
(VOV) - Vietnamese player Vu Thi Trang was beaten by her Indian rival 0-2 in the first round of Singapore Badminton Open Tournament 2013 on June 18.
Trang gained the upper hand at the beginning of the first set, but lost 18-21 in the last minutes to Thulasi.
She fared no better in the second set, which ended 21-17 in favour of Thulasi.
Trang is currently placed 203rd in the world, but Thulasi 80th.
In the men’s event, player Nguyen Tien Minh was scheduled to meet Srikanth (India) on June 19.
Minh is seeded No.6 at the tournament and placed 9th in the world.
