TikTok Awards Southeast Asia 2026: Anh Vien, Vo Tan Phat vie for Vietnam spot

VOV.VN - Former swimmer Nguyen Thi Anh Vien and actor Vo Tan Phat are among the Vietnamese nominees competing for the chance to represent the country at the TikTok Awards Southeast Asia 2026, which attracts content creators from six countries.

TikTok has announced the regional awards under the theme “The Ones Who Spark It”, celebrating creators whose content inspires communities and makes a positive impact beyond the platform.

In Vietnam, Anh Vien has been nominated in the sports category, while Vo Tan Phat is competing for Popular Video of the Year. Dang Thu Ha, Ngo Duc Duy and Bui Thi Thao Ly (Ciin) are among the nominees for Creator of the Year.

The 11 award categories also cover fashion, food, education, lifestyle and e-commerce, reflecting the diversity of TikTok’s creator community.

According to organisers, public voting in Vietnam runs from October 12 to 26. Users can vote for nominees in each category, with the most-voted creator in each category advancing as a Vietnamese representative to the regional stage. The list of representatives is expected to be announced on November 9.

Users can vote by logging into TikTok and searching for the hashtag #TikTokAwardsSEA or visiting the official voting page within the app. Each account is allocated at least 15 votes per day, which can be used to support the same nominee or category.

The first-ever TikTok Awards Southeast Asia brings together established and emerging creators from Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. The awards aim to recognise creators and content that inspire communities, spark cultural conversations and generate positive real-world impact.

The expansion to a regional platform comes as content creators play an increasingly influential role in culture and entertainment. Beyond setting trends on social media, they help bring music, fashion and entertainment products closer to younger audiences.

Angga Anugrah Putra, TikTok’s General Manager of Content Operations for Southeast Asia, said trends on the platform could spark meaningful conversations, cultural phenomena and real-world impact beyond the screen. He also highlighted creators’ role in building communities and developing sustainable livelihoods and businesses.

The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place in Bali, Indonesia, on November 27, 2026.
