Tien Minh to compete in China Open Badminton

(VOV) - Vietnam’s No.1 badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh has left for Shanghai to participate in the China Open Badminton Championship from November 13-18.

In the tournament, Minh (seeded No. 7) will meet UK player Rajiv Ouseph, who is placed 28th in the world rankings.

Total prizes in the event will be worth up to US$400,000.

After the tourney, Tien Minh will fly to Hong Kong to take part in another tournament of the Superseries system.

Minh has been placed 11th in the world rankings for two consecutive weeks.
