Tien Minh loses 1-2 to Danish top badminton player
Vietnam’s top badminton player, Nguyen Tien Minh, was defeated by world No.4 Peter Hoeg Gade of Denmark in a friendly match in Ho Chi Minh City on November 30.
Among more than 1,000 audiences at the match were former Vietnamese Prime Minister Phan Van Khai and Danish Crown Prince Frederik, who is on a visit to Vietnam to mark the 40th founding anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic relations.

The Vietnamese top seed, who ranks seventh in the world, lost 1-2 to Peter Hoeg Gade after three sets of 18-21, 21-19, and 14-21.
The friendly match was highly appreciated by the Danish Prince and audiences thanks to outstanding performances of both players.
