Three consecutive wins for Vietnam at badminton Cup
(VOV) - Vietnamese badminton players have triumphed in three consecutive matches at the ongoing world team championships (Sudirman Cup) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
They defeated Kazakhstan 5-0, Lithuania 5-0, and Australia 4-1.
Vietnam encountered Switzerland, the strongest team in group 3B on May 23.
Switzerland also dominated Australia and Lithuania, winning both matches 5-0.
Thirty one nations are competing for the Sudirman Cup. The championships last through to May 26.
Vietnam’s group 3B opponents include Switzerland, Australia, Lithuania, and Kazakhstan.
The national team’s nine members are the five male players Nguyen Tien Minh, Nguyen Hoang Nam, Do Tuan Duc, Pham Cao Cuong, and Duong Bao Duc, and the four female atheletes Vu Thi Trang, Nguyen Thi Sen, Le Thu Huyen, and Nguyen Thuy Linh.
