The opening ceremony on the evening of September 11 at the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long will launch a series of artistic performances combining traditional cultural elements with modern performance technology, showing the cultural journey of Thang Long in a contemporary setting.

Festival highlights include contemporary music performances, international arts exchanges, the “Colours of Hanoi” fashion show and the “Sounds of Ceramics” programme in Bat Trang. The programmes aim to create new points of connection between heritage and creativity, particularly among young people and creative communities.

At the same time, a series of heritage exhibitions and interactive experience spaces will be held throughout the festival at the Temple of Literature and Hanoi Museum, giving visitors more vivid and interactive ways to explore heritage.

A notable highlight will be the “Thang Long Imperial Banquet” programme, scheduled for October 10, combining artistic performances with traditional culinary experiences.

The festival is scheduled to close on September 20 at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square. The event is expected to honour the cultural values of Thang Long while helping position Hanoi as a regional creative hub where heritage serves as a foundation for sustainable development.
