Tet Book Street Festival 2026 brings together more than 20 publishers nationwide

VOV.VN - The Tet Book Street Festival 2026, running from February 15 to 22, 2026, has brought together more than 20 publishing houses from across Vietnam, offering a diverse cultural space in the Lunar New Year or Tet.

Spanning an area of over 13,000 square metres, the festival offers the public a diverse cultural and intellectual space during the early days of the Lunar New Year  (Tet).

Political, historical and heritage publications remain a central focus of the event. The booth of National Political Publishing House Su That features a wide range of titles on ideology, history and culture, alongside discussions centred on the book Ho Chi Minh – A Man Who Believed in the People. In the heritage zone, documentary book collections and photo displays provide readers with access to official reference materials on Party history and the formation and development of the city.

Ho Chi Minh City General Publishing House hosts a variety of reading-promotion activities, including calligraphy writing, e-book giveaways and guided introductions to heritage book pillars at the Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space.

The publisher also presents titles on President Ho Chi Minh’s journey to find a path for national salvation, works recognised by the award “Studying and Following Ho Chi Minh’s Thought, Ethics and Style”, as well as publications on technology applications, particularly artificial intelligence.

Tre Publishing House highlights large-format editions and heritage book collections. Notable titles include the English-language photo book The Legacy of Ho Chi Minh – Uncle Ho: The Name That Illuminates Vietnam’s Beauty and the full-colour volume Le Quy Don, released to mark the 300th anniversary of the scholar’s birth.

The publisher also shows the Ho Chi Minh Heritage collection, comprising around 70 print titles alongside audiobook and e-book versions, as well as an extensive range of books on southern Vietnam and Sai Gon-Gia Dinh to mark the 50th anniversary of the city officially bearing the name Ho Chi Minh City.

Art books and traditional craftsmanship are featured through booths by Dong A Cultural Company, Autumn Bookshop and Little Cat Bookstore, with activities focusing on bookbinding arts, books printed on traditional do paper and fine bookbinding techniques.

Reflecting the growing integration of reading and technology, Tan Viet Culture and Education JSC introduces interactive learning products for children, while Comicola presents an adapted comic version of Luc Van Tien and hosts exchanges with the author.

The festival also sees participation from numerous other book distributors, including 1980Books, Nha Nam, FAHASA, SANTANI, Alpha Books and MaiHaBooks, thus contributing to a vivid picture of Vietnam’s publishing, distribution and reading culture at the start of the new year.
