Tet Art Fair opens in Hanoi’s old quarter

(VOV) -The First Contemporary Tet Art Fair in Vietnam opened in the heart of Hanoi’s Old Quarter on February 5 with an exhibition by three renowned Vietnamese artists – Tran Huy Oanh, Trinh Tuan and Le Huy Tiep.

The fair was inspired by a nearly-lost tradition in which Vietnamese in the past often went to the market and bought paintings to welcome Tet (Vietnamese New Year), a representative of the organisers revealed.

It features more than 350 artworks by 88 renowned and talented Vietnamese artists, which will be displayed Feb 5-15. Many other exciting events including an Art Tour, Art Talk, Art Workshop, Art Films, and Art Performance are also planned.
