‘Taste of Australia 2022’ kicks off in HCM City
‘Taste of Australia 2022’, the annual celebration of Australia’s world class food and beverages in Vietnam, will be organized between April and May.
This year’s program kicked off with a launch in Ho Chi Minh City on April 20. This is the first time ‘Taste of Australia’ has come back since 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
At the launch event, Sarah Hooper, Australia’s Consul General in HCM City, said ‘Taste of Australia’ will showcase the best of Australian food, contributing to Australia’s international reputation as a supplier of food and beverages which are high quality, safe and sustainable.
Different from the previous programs featuring offline events, ‘Taste of Australia 2022’ will highlight an online series – a video series collaborating with Australian-Vietnamese chef Frank Pham that will feature premium Australian produce such as beef, lamb, abalone and rock lobster.
There will also be a web series highlighting sophisticated Australian wine varieties and the versatility of Australian wine for pairing with Vietnamese cuisine. The event will also showcase a podcast series covering topics including world-class Australian meat, Australian premium seafood, Australian freshest fruits and the country’s finest dairy.
The organizer of ‘Taste of Australia 2022’ has worked with 40 restaurants in Hanoi and HCM City and offers true Australian produce, fresh fruits and products in the local market. The program also includes an extensive nationwide promotional campaign to bolster the image of diverse, superior and accessible Australian products at major retail stores.
