Taekwondo team wins 3 golds at ASEAN Student Games
(VOV) -Vietnamese martial artists have successfully brought home three gold medals from the ongoing 2012 ASEAN Student Games in Laos.
Le Anh Minh triumphed in the men’s individual event, earning 16.33 points to claim the title over Thailand’s Kanawat Sukcharoen and the host’s Soukthavy Panyasith
The trio Nguyen Thien Phung, Le Hieu Nghia, and Le Thanh Trung dominated the men’s performance team competition with 17 points, 0.5 points higher than runners-up Laos and Thailand.
Their female teammates Chau Tuyet Van, Duong Thi Le Giang, and Nguyen Thi Ly also performed excellently, winning the team’s third gold medal.
Anh Minh also finished third in the men’s individual U29 event at the 7th World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships in Tunja, Colombia.
