Sweden Innovations showcased in Ho Chi Minh City
(VOV) - The Sweden innovations programme (SIP), will take place in Ho Chi Minh City from November 10-30 to mark the 45th anniversary of Sweden-Vietnam diplomatic ties.
At a press briefing in HCM City on November 5 to introduce the SIP, Vice Ambassador Elenore Kanter said the programme aims to showcase Swedish inventions and innovations and facilitate exchange of ideas between the two countries.
A “Sweden Innovations” exhibition will help the Vietnamese people gain a better understanding about Sweden, including Swedish companies, universities and culture, Kanter said.
She added that the exhibition which has been held in 20 countries will display four main fields: information and communications technology (ICT), life science, clean technology and gaming.
Kanter emphasised that innovations play an important role in economic development and Sweden wants to share its experience in this field with Vietnam.
She revealed that on this occasion 18 sideline events will be held in HCM City, including high level dialogues, seminars on urban transport and natural disaster response, a Swedish film show, an European music show, and a photo exhibition.
