Spring Festival opens at Yen Tu historical site
VOV.VN - The country has burst into a festive spirit as the Spring Festival running through the end of the third lunar month unwrapping its annual Buddhist pilgrimage opened today (Feb. 6) at the Yen Tu historical site.
The opening ceremony at the Pagoda in the Thuong Yen Commune of Uong Bi City, Quang Ninh Province brings in scores of families to join the prayer rituals, fun and other entertaining activities. |

In the 13th century, King Tran Nhan Tong (1258-1308), the third king of the Tran dynasty, abdicates the throne at the age of 35 and spends the rest of his life on Yen Tu Mountain, practicing and spreading Buddhism. |
