Special stamp collection launched to celebrate 50 years of national reunification

VOV.VN - A ceremony has been held in Ho Chi Minh City to unveil a special postage stamp collection celebrating the 50th anniversary of southern liberation and national reunification (April 30, 1975 – 2025).

The collection is jointly issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, and the Vietnam Post Corporation (VNPost).

Designed by VNPost artist Nguyen Du, the collection features two postage stamps, each measuring 32 x 43mm, along with a stamp block measuring 70 x 100mm. The stamps are priced from VND4,000 to VND15,000.

The designs highlight three primary colours - red, yellow, and blue,  symbolising the flag of the National Front for the Liberation of South Vietnam.
Each stamp portrays distinct themes, including a soldier carrying a rifle marching alongside liberation forces, two children representing the north and south of Vietnam, and President Ho Chi Minh waving to greet the nation’s people.
Through these images, the collection conveys a message of peace, unity, and hope for a brighter future.
