Southern province commemorates Vietnam-Japan ties
(VOV) - Ba Ria-Vung Tau on August 7 announced a series of activities to celebrate the 40th anniversary of establishing Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations.
These activities, lasting from August 17 to 25, are part of a programme themed “Ba Ria-Vung Tau-Japan: Companion and Development”, responding to the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Year 2013.
Highlightes of the celebrations will be a competition on 40 years of Vietnam-Japan ties, a cultural exchange between Vietnamese and Japanese families, and a photography exhibition titled “Vietnam-Japan, Ba Ria-Vung Tau-Kawasaki: landscape and people.”
Seminars on how to attract Japanese businesses and tourists to Ba Ria-Vung Tau will also be held.
The programme aims to strengthen friendship, cooperation and mutual understanding, boost Japanese investment, trade and tourism promotion into Ba Ria-Vung Tau, and raise Ba Ria-Vung Tau’s profile abroad.
