Under the theme “Rooted in Farming – Soulful in Culture – Modern Integration,” the festival will introduce key agricultural products from the southern region alongside cultural, artistic, and commercial events that highlight the link between traditional farming and global integration.

A major highlight is the “Art of Fruit Carving” Competition, running from May 31 to June 8. Other attractions include an exhibition of high-tech agricultural products, a specialty fruit market featuring nearly 100 booths, and various performances.

International cultural exchange programmes will also be part of the event, bringing together art troupes from Southeast Asia, including the Friendship Melody event on June 15 and the ASEAN Harmony Festival from August 8 to 10.

Community activities such as a charity run and a festival for disadvantaged children are also planned.

Southern Fruit Festival to highlight Vietnamese fruit brands

The 15th Southern Fruit Festival will take place from June 1-August 31 in Ho Chi Minh City, said the HCM City Tourism Department.
