Southeast Asian Museum explores regional cultural diversity

(VOV) - The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology’s (VME) specialty Southeast Asian museum building will open its doors to visitors from December 1.

The VME has organised a variety of artistic and educational activities to mark the event, including contemporary Thai and Lao folk dance performances, Southeast Asian folk games, and fun and informative national flag-based competitions.

The facility hopes to become a centre for cultural exchanges between citizens of different nations.

Visitors to the museum can learn about some of their regional neighbours’ iconic features and explore cultural similarities and differences between Vietnam and SEA nations.

The VME has three sections devoted to Vietnam’s ethnic groups and will continue to expand its curatorial offerings showcasing the richness of regional and international cultural life.
