Six 18-year-olds through to Miss Vietnam northern finals
VOV.VN - Khanh Linh, Thu Tam and Bao Chau are among the six talented 18-year-old girls who have qualified for the final round for the northern region in the Miss Vietnam 2018 pageant.
The organizing board of Miss Vietnam 2018 on July 8 announced a list of 40 contestants who will take part in the final round for the northern region. Among them are six 18-year-old girls who are the youngest contenders in the pageant. |
Pham Khanh Linh (centre) is the younger sister of Pham Thuy Linh (L) who won a silver medal in Vietnam Supermodel 2010, and Pham Ngoc Phuong Linh (R) who took the second runner-up title in Miss Ao Dai 2016. |
Linh learnt martial arts when she was a child. She has won four gold medals in Taekwondo at a national level. |
Nguyen Thi Thu Tam is a familiar face among youth in Ho Chi Minh City. She is 1.73 meters tall and has a bright smile. She previously won the most favourite face title in the 2017 Ao dai beauty contest for students. Tam has experience in catwalk skills and acting. |
Tran Tieu Vy is a first time entrant, she has never appeared in the media before. Vy made a good impression in the preliminary round thanks to her modern beauty and shining smile. |
Nguyen Hoang Bao Chau is 1.73 meters tall, she comes from Tran Phu High School in Hanoi. She was one of the girls chosen to present bouquets to the Vietnam U23 team after the 2018 AFC U23 Championship. |
Bao Chau said her goals are to perform well in Miss Vietnam 2018 and to work as a flight attendant. |
Ngo Thi Dieu Ngan is a student in Dien Chau 3 High School in Nghe An Province. In 2017 she took first place in a beauty contest for local students. |
Phan Cam Nhi is from Tran Phu High School in Danang City. Her innocent face and photos in Ao dai (Vietnamese traditional dress) impressed the judges and spectators. |
