Seoul Cultural Days take place in Hanoi

VOV.VN - On October 28-29, the compound at the Statue of King Ly Thai To will be transformed into a mecca of modern Republic of Korea (ROK) culture.

The Seoul Cultural Heritage Society is hosting the event that will share the rich and vibrant culture of Korea with guests. The two-day event is packed with a variety of special performances, authentic Korean dishes, fun activities for the whole family and much more.

Mr. Gyoung-Gee Liu, deputy mayor of the city of Seoul, who oversees the festival and serves as its spokesperson, says the event is a unique opportunity to share Korean culture with Vietnamese.

He describes the festival as being about how to make Vietnam better by sharing Korean culture and adding to the cultural malaise. The festival has all the components of a world class festival, but with grassroots charm, says the Deputy Mayor.

So, whether you’re Korean, Vietnamese or anyone else looking to learn more about the ROK culture and have a great time, you should check out the festival, he says noting that among the many activities are a K-Pop competition and concert and Kukkiwon Tae Kwon Do demonstration.

Guests will also have an opportunity to taste the most authentic Korean food outside of Seoul, featuring numerous authentic Korean BBQ dishes, lots of hearty and healthy dishes, and fusions of flavours, textures and tastes.

Of course, there are many other reasons to come. The festival offers tons of stuff for kids to do that are fun and safe like face painting, arts and crafts, traditional games, and even a special appearance by Pororo. Many activities even include prizes for them to take home.

There will be a variety of live, local and international performances throughout the two days and the festival is also a fantastic place to make connections, as all types of local business leaders and organization members will be in attendance, along with thousands of Koreans.
