Secret Garden artists arrive in Hanoi for 30th anniversary world tour
VOV.VN - After a 15-hour flight from Oslo (Norway), Fionnuala Sherry and Rolf Løvland, the core members of the music duo Secret Garden, arrived at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi on October 16, ready for their special performance at the National Convention Centre two days later.

Although the group rarely goes on tour, both Fionnuala Sherry and Rolf Løvland were clearly excited and thrilled to perform in Vietnam for the first time. The two artists dressed casually yet stylishly for their arrival and were friendly and cheerful throughout.
At the airport, they were presented with hand-painted Vietnamese conical hats featuring scenic landscapes and nature of Vietnam. The string orchestra members were also given the same handmade conical hats, which delighted the European musicians.
Upon arrival, the artists were taken to a hotel in Hanoi to rest and prepare for press meetings, rehearsals, and the concert.
According to the organisers, the stage for “Secret Garden Live in Vietnam” will be one of the largest and most beautiful that the group has ever performed on. During the concert, the group will perform around 30 songs, spanning their 30-year career.
The iconic pieces, paired with a dazzling and enchanting stage design, will celebrate emotional storytelling through beautiful melodies, blending classical and Nordic-Celtic folk styles. The performance promises to be a memorable musical experience for the Hanoi audience.
While the organisers have kept the setlist under wraps to surprise the audience, it is certain that Vietnamese fans will be treated to some of Secret Garden’s most well-known works, including Songs From A Secret Garden - the iconic track from their debut album released 30 years ago.
Following the concert, the two band members will participate in a poster signing event for fans.

Vietnam will kick off Secret Garden’s world tour celebrating 30 years of the group’s formation. The concert is part of the international music project “Good Morning Vietnam,” initiated by Nhan Dan (People’s Daily) and IB Group Vietnam, bringing high-level performances to the Vietnamese public from internationally renowned artists.
After legends like Kenny G and the Bond Quartet, Secret Garden will be the focus of the third edition of the “Good Morning Vietnam” series.
Secret Garden made history in 1995 when they won the Eurovision Song Contest with the piece “Nocturne,” breaking the 40-year tradition of the competition. Since then, the duo has released 12 albums, starting with Songs From A Secret Garden (1995) and most recently Songs In The Circle of Time (2024).
With over 113 platinum discs, 3 billion streams, and 311 weeks on the Billboard New Age charts, Secret Garden is one of the best-selling artists under the Universal Classics & Jazz label. Their song “You Raise Me Up” (2001) has been covered by more than 1,000 artists, including famous names like Josh Groban, Westlife, and Il Divo. It is also one of the most recorded songs of the 21st century.
