Second Asian Para Games wraps up

The second Asian Para Games wrapped up in Incheon, the Republic of Korea on October 24, with Vietnam ranking tenth in the medal standings.
During the week-long event, Vietnamese athletes brought home nine gold, seven silver and 13 bronze medals, with one world record and four Asian records.
The team surpassed its set target of achieving 6-9 gold medals and ranking 15th in the medal tally.
Swimmer Vo Thanh Tung left strong impression at the games when winning five gold medals for the country.
The 2nd Asian Para Games took place from October 18-24 with the participation of 4,500 athletes from 41 countries.
The team of 45 Vietnamese athletes competed in six out of 23 categories, namely track-and-field, swimming, weightlifting, badminton, table tennis and bowling.
Indonesia will host the third Games in 2018.
